EXECUTION BLUEPRINT
The Step-by-Step Construction Journey
Our proven project framework guarantees total certainty from the first site appraisal to post-completion handover.
Phase 1: Comprehensive Consultation & Estimation
We review your architectural schemes, structural engineering drawings, and planning constraints. Following an in-depth site inspection, we produce an itemised, transparent cost breakdown and preliminary construction schedule.
Phase 2: Pre-Construction Scoping & Procurement
Before breaking ground, we establish long-lead procurement schedules, appoint verified trade specialists, secure statutory party-wall agreements, and finalise full site logistics and health & safety protocols.
Phase 3: Structural & Interior Construction
Our dedicated site manager coordinates trades on site daily. Clients receive structured bi-weekly progress summaries, financial valuations against schedule, and scheduled on-site walkthroughs at key structural and mechanical stages.
Phase 4: Rigorous Snagging, Handover & Aftercare
Two weeks prior to completion, our quality team conducts exhaustive snagging checks. We deliver a complete Operation & Maintenance digital binder, all warranties and test certificates, and provide a 12-month proactive defects warranty.
Quality Control & Transparent Communication
Harpenden Construction maintains uncompromising architectural standards through on-site presence, open-book cost accountability, and exemplary site conduct across Harpenden and Hertfordshire.
Every client commission is led by a dedicated Contracts Manager and a full-time, on-site Site Foreman. This ensures you never have to navigate multiple contacts or conflicting messages; communication is direct, timely, and authoritative.
We run transparent open-book accounting for any client-directed variations. Valuations are submitted monthly against verified stage completions, ensuring you only pay for completed, quality-approved work.
Cleanliness is a direct reflection of craft standards. Our sites are secured, swept, and organised at the close of every working day, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to adjoining properties.
